This is a tough lesson to learn especially when you feel you are not tech-savvy. So, what do I mean by “Stop Paying a Web Designer”? Stick around, have I got a story for you!
So, I decided to automate the booking system on our website and not have to pay for extra applications. I went on Fiverr.com and contacted someone I thought had the capability of giving me what I want. That website cost me about $2500, and it never worked the way it was intended. It was a pretty sight, but I couldn’t change or update anything. To matters worse – I found all types of code that had nothing to do with my website in my website files. Scary stuff!
I remembered a YouTuber I follow talking about BlueHost and I decided to give it a try. The sign up process what easy but, I must admit wordpress took a bit of figuring out. In the beginning, our website was plain and not as aesthetically pleasing as the $2500 site. However, I could change things I didn’t like and add services and products as our business progressed.
Who knew, WordPress had a Booking Plugin so our clients could book on our website.
Let’s me honest! I broke our site more than a few times trying to insert code, and I know I had no business doing that. But, a call to BlueHost quickly fixed the problem. Once I was on the phone with them for 1 hour. I couldn’t believe they didn’t charge me extra or tell me they couldn’t help me.
Guess what! I get compliments on our site all the time. Since we have a lawn maintenance company, so I use the JohnnyGo Template and I think it’s my best work yet.

So, now that you have all the information you need to start your website. You can create an affordable website and have it up and running in at your leisure. Gone are the days where you go without a website because web designing is expensive. I don’t need to tell you how important it is for you to have your place on the great wide web.
The rest is really up to you. Just a little advice. YouTubers make a living helping people design a good WordPress website. Take advantage of this free valuable resource.
